Dissatisfaction with medical treatment is an increasing problem. We all expect medical treatment to go well and if for any reason it does not we expect the medical team to explain and then put right the problem. It has become increasingly difficult to identify with a doctor who takes responsibility for your treatment. This leads to frustration and a desire to sue the system, a large anonymous organisation which often fails to investigate, offer treatment compensation as appropriate. When this fails the first step is to consult a lawyer. Once the process starts it may be impossible to stop with increasing costs and, sadly in some circumstances, an unsatisfactory outcome.

Resolve is an attempt to assess a claim with no legal involvement, offer advice on the merits of the claim and advice on how to achieve a resolution. This approach has already been successful and continues to grow. This should be considered a first step and if we cannot resolve the problem steps can be taken to instruct lawyers to use well established legal routes. We have worked with many lawyers, provided medico-legal assistance both in terms of reports and, where appropriate, introduction to legal advisors with experience who have shown their ability to achieve a good outcome.
